The Canary Islands are famous for their pristine beaches, dramatic landscapes and delicious local delicacies. But what many don’t know is that besides tourism, agriculture is one of the main industries, with the Canarian Banana as protagonist.
For the Hotel’s concept we therefore wanted to combine the Canarian agricultural heritage with the distinctive tourism product the islands have to offer, especially La Palma.

As a small business we are aware of our possibilities and limitations. Nevertheless, we believe that it is still possible to involve as many locals as possible in order to give back to the community.
This includes sourcing locally, and creating a new range of products that is both inspired in the heritage of the Canary Islands, whilst also taking into consideration trends and developments in the hospitality industry at a more international level.
Banana Garden La Palma is centrally located in a pedestrian zone, in the heart of the capital of La Palma and a short two-minute walk from the city beach, with fabulous views of the surroundings and the Atlantic Ocean; both from superior balconies and from the rooftop.

The airport bus is number 500. The closest bus stop to get to the hotel from the airport is “La Recova”, whereas the closest bus stop to get to the airport from the hotel is “Antiguo Parador B”. (the current location of “Antiguo Parador B” might be affected due to road works on Avenida Marítima). VIEW TIMETABLE
We highly recommend renting a car during your stay on La Palma. This is our choice of car rental. Please keep in mind that the hotel does not have a car park and parking is not included in the room rate. You may find free parking in nearby streets, only note that white spots don’t have time restriction whereas blue spots are restricted to 90min depending on the day (check the first sign to verify). ‘Parking El Puente‘ offers 24/7 paid underground parking for 10.50€/day, 30€/week or 45€/15 days.
You may make use of our courtesy load & unloading parking spot located at the entrance of “Calle Vandale” which you can access via “Calle Dr. Santos Abreu”.
To make use of this parking spot you must collect a parking permit at reception and place it in the car while you unload, and return it once you are finished.
Please keep in mind that its use is restricted to 15 minutes and is on a first come first serve basis.
The back street of the local market hall (La Recova) which you can access via “Avenida El Puente” has a with yellow zig-zag lines marked load & unloading area which you may use for a short amount of time. Please keep in mind that you must do so quickly as parking there for longer is not permitted. We recommend that if you travel with someone else that someone stays at the vehicle in case local police checks.
